Giusy Sergi

Photo Reporter and painter, studied at the Academy of Fine Arts. Prefers small format film, which she personally prints on baryta coated silver halide salts paper.

Her current photographic theme is about telling soul and sensitivity of animals, through their moves and looks. With her photographs, Giusy narrates emotions lived by the innocent animal, expressing the presence of a tangible soul in it, which, in some way, associates it with the human being, the emotional archetype by definition. The young photographer narrates the vital essence of animals through her own essence, sensitivity and super-ego; these elements find their expression in her photographs, coated with emotions and feelings induced by the vision of the animal and its moves during the act of its carnage.

The reportage presented in the portfolio is about the “Domestic pig slaughter”.
